Our research has identified 3 main task types: Deep Work, Appointments and Knockouts.
Deep Work is one of the most important sources of growth as this is when you perform the work that moves the needle for you and your business. Generally aim to plan 2 deep work sessions daily each of 90 minutes.
Appointments are all the tasks that are linked to a specific slot like a Gym Workout, meeting a colleague or a friend etc. Aim to have half or less of your day focused in Appointments as these can drain your energy and keep you away from deep work.
Knockouts are the quick tasks that you need to perform like paying a bill or responding to an email. Make sure you are not spending any more than 2 hours a day on knockouts.
We encourage you to keep a balanced approach across all 3 types to ensure you optimize your time and plan these in accordance with your energy levels based on your Ideal Day.
